Everyone adores emojis, but those that come with iPhone are a bit overused and boring. Or is that truly the case? Turns out, there is a secret, hidden emoji keyboard in your iPhone that you can access by changing just a few settings. In full transparency, these emojis aren’t exactly a secret- they’re just part of the Japanese keyboard, a setting that has to be turned on manually with your iPhone! The Hidden iPhone Emoji Keyboard
To access fun iPhone keyboard emojis such as ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), \(^o^)/ and many more, follow these steps:
- Open Settings
- Select “General”
- Select “Keyboard”
- Select “Keyboards”
- Select “Add new keyboard”
- Find and select “Japanese"
- Select “Kana”
Now when you open your keyboard in any text service field, select the globe icon (bottom left) and then select the Japanese text (also bottom left). This will bring up the Japanese keyboard. Select the ^-^ key (bottom left) and in the text suggestions field, you will see various emojis appear. To expand this list, just tap the ^ key at the top right of the keyboard.
